House Cleaning Chore List - Does Your Home Have One?

Personally, chores are the bane of my existence. No really, there is nothing less I would rather be doing on a Saturday than cleaning. In fact chores don’t even break my top 100 list of things I want to do. With that said though, I know they have to get done (as I am not rich enough to afford a live in maid). Despite my dislike for the tasks at hand, I have found that it is in my best interest to complete my chores as fast and efficiently as humanly possible.

Like most things in life, if you simply make a list of the chores that need to be done and a schedule when you would like to have them completed; you will quickly and easily be able to keep your home in spic and span condition.

If your family doesn’t currently have a chore checklist you have two options really. Find a free one you can copy (like the one we are giving away at the bottom of the page) or if you are feeling adventurous, you can use our list as your roadmap and make you own checklist.

If you plan on making your own checklist below is a list of the 10 most common rooms in a house.

1. Bedroom(s) 2. Kitchen 3. Bathroom(s) 4. Office 5. Family Room 6. Living Room 7. Dinning Room 8. Basement 9. Game/Play Room 10. Front and Backyards

You will be very surprised at the amount of time you can save by having all of your chores in a simple easy to read format. It will also allow you to quickly find out what has been cleaned and what still needs cleaning.

If keeping your home more organized and much cleaner then it currently is wasn’t good enough in and of itself; a good chore checklist will also help keep the other members of your family in line and on top of their assigned chores. If you ask me, that is reason enough to have an established list of things to clean. In the end getting your cleaning system in place should ultimately mean less cleaning for you.
