How to grow twins from a father’s point of view

When you tell somebody that you are expecting twins, you will likely receive an answer like this: Oh! Twins! That’s lot of work. Good luck !

But is it really so hard? In this article I will try to answer that question.

We cannot say that having twins is easy, specially in the first days. The best thing you can do is to have a routine, writing down everything that each one of the kids did at each time, for example at which time you change diapers to one of them. Organization is fundamental.

Another important point is that the man has to help. He has no choice with twins. He must take turns with his wife to feed, change clothes and diapers, bath, and take them out in the strollers.

Considering the organization and the help of the father, having twins can be great.

Twins are not always synonym of more work. Many times parents with kids of different age have more work.

First, if you have two kids of different ages, you will have problems to sleep in two different periods of your life.

Kids of different ages like to do different things, while twins have similar interests. In addition, you can take both to the doctor at the same moment.

Another item to consider is money. At first, you may think that twins represent much more money than single kids, but that is not always true.

Of course, at first you will have to buy two items of everything, strollers, beds, cribs, as time passes you will realize that you can save money. There are lots of places where you can receive a discount if you buy for twins; you celebrate both birthdays on the same day and place, saving a lot of money.

In conclusion, having twins is not an easy task, but it is not the end of the world. With a good organization and enough help twins will result a wonderful experience.
